The Pininfarina Speedform Ethergraf was conceived for those who live in a constantly moving world and demand writing instruments that match their performance. Its dynamic and aerodynamic design stands out for the progressive perforation that runs along the entire body of the pen, culminating in the central area.
Speedform is the flagship product of the Transition series, a new chapter in Pininfarina Segno's production where ecological responsibility, advanced design, and new production technologies synergistically meet.
A distinctive element of the project is Ethergraf® technology, a patented metal alloy, which offers fluid and durable writing without the need for refills. The triangular section formed by the three theoretical twists is an ergonomic aspect designed to facilitate grip, while the progressive perforation highlights the absence of internal components. Twists and perforations not only impart rhythm and lightness but also extraordinary structural efficiency.
The object is completed by a magnetic base with an overhanging suspension effect, which emphasizes the dynamic power of the shapes, like a vehicle traveling at high speed through space.
3D printing allows for precise control of production numbers, making the project perfectly aligned with an ecological and responsible approach. Created with Grasshopper software, the design expresses itself in a complex yet lightweight geometry, keeping the stylus's weight to just 39g.
