Where: Florence

Our story begins in Florence, in 1971. Vittorio was just 24 years old but had already spent ten years mastering the art of leather cutting. Confident in his craft and driven by passion, he decided to start his own company.

With determination and the support of his young wife Sonia, he founded “Claudia,” named after their three-year-old daughter.

At that time, Italy and Tuscany especially was becoming known for its vegetable-tanned calfskin handbags. Skilled artisans had become part of the region’s cultural heritage.

The business grew quickly, achieving success in Europe, America, and Australia. As Italian fashion evolved, Vittorio expanded production to include new styles and materials, reorganizing the factory to meet the needs of international customers.

In the 1990s, his children Claudia and Filippo joined the company, bringing fresh creativity to traditional craftsmanship.

Today, after more than fifty years, Claudia Firenze continues to embody the essence of Tuscan artistry where heritage, passion, and innovation come together in every creation.
